Happy Mouth bits have stainless steel centre core for maximm strength but it is most improtant that they are of the correct size and are fited correctly in the horses mouth, so they do not become chewed. Horses teeth should be checked regularly and it is dangerous to continue to use a marked or damaged bit.
The Happy Mouth bit should be changed when the mouth starts wearing off.
